These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Monolith Spark (the "App"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy — Spark. If you do not agree, uninstall the App.

1. The service

Spark is the free edition of Monolith: a local encrypted credential vault funded in part by advertising (Google Mobile Ads). Spark uses network access for ads and for opening store pages for Monolith Vault.

Spark is not marketed as air-gapped or "Data Not Collected."

2. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Spark on devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and store rules. You may not redistribute, sublicense, or reverse engineer the App except where mandatory law allows.

3. Ads and third parties

Spark displays ads. Interaction with ads is subject to the advertiser's and Google's terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party websites, offers, or apps opened from ads or store links. You can move to an ad-free offline product by purchasing Monolith Vault separately and migrating via encrypted export/import. Full ad disclosure is on our Ads & Tracking Notice.

4. Your responsibilities

Safeguard your PIN, biometrics, and backup passphrases; keep your own encrypted backups (.monolith.vdoc); use the App lawfully.

We cannot recover a vault if you lose your PIN and have no backup.

5. No account; no cloud vault

We do not provide cloud sync or credential hosting. Uninstalling or resetting the App deletes local data according to the OS and in-app Reset — see Data Export & Deletion.

6. No warranty

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

7. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OR LOSS OF CREDENTIALS/DATA. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED USD $10 OR THE AMOUNT REQUIRED BY MANDATORY LAW.

8. Acceptable use

You may not use Spark to distribute malware, violate others' rights, or abuse advertising systems (e.g., fraudulent clicks).

9. Intellectual property

The App, branding (including "Monolith"), and documentation are the exclusive intellectual property of Vlemon LLP or its licensors, per the IP terms in our main Terms & Conditions.

10. Governing law & exclusive jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India — the same Indore Clause set out in Vlemon LLP's main Terms & Conditions. Consumer protections in your country of residence may grant additional rights.
